Great post Bruce. …
Great post Bruce. Mahimahi is also known as el dorado. Ahi means “fire” in Hawaiian. It is said that the fish gets its name from the old handlining method of fishing. Hook up to a 100+ lb. ahi on a handline and you’ll know why its given that name. Ono is known as wahoo on the mainland.
