Eduardo St. Angel in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. has the best mexican food I’ve ever had. I haven’t been able to get there in several years, but I just checked the menu and it certainly seems the same. http://www.eduardodesanangel.com/ It is not the typical mexican fare I’ve seen in Manhattan and the boroughs. No tacos or burritos etc. It is really gourmet upscale mexican food. The seasonings and sauces meld together in each dish until they you reach perfection. OK, now that we’re starving, can anyone recommend a mexican restaurant in Brooklyn, Queens or Manhattan on the same scale at Eduardo St. Angel.
Thanks. I’ve been through the NYC menu pages a number of times.
I’ve never been to Ft. Lauderdale, but I can recommend a few Mexican restaurants that are very good and definitely not the slab of cheese and beans taco joints:
Paladar at 161 Ludlow on the Lower East Side is very good – Aaron Sanchez, the chef is a regular on the Food Network’s master chef shows.
Rosa Mexicano has several restaurants around Manhattan – all very good, though pricey
Itzocan Bistro – 1575 Lexington Ave has some of the most unusual and yummy Mexican food I’ve ever eaten
Just visit MenuPages.com and hit the New York City link, then the Mexican Food link, and it will give you all Mexican restaurants in NYC, with their menus, reviews and their websites if the restaurant has them.
