In this video, my husband, Rick, and I went to Louisville, Kentucky to enjoy a Titanic night. Our first stop was at the Louisville Science Center, to see Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. This exhibition has been viewed by more than 22 million people worldwide. It features 150 artifacts and is produced by Atlanta based RMS Titanic, Inc., which is the only entity permitted by law to recover objects from the wreck of the Titanic. Rick and I then walked 5 blocks to the Galt House Hotel, where we were staying and dressed for a dinner meal at the Rivue Restaurant, which is located on the 25th floor of the hotel. It is circular, with glass windows from floor to ceiling, and revolves continuously during the dining experience. Here, we were served items from the first class menu that was the last meal served the night that the Titanic sank, April 11, 1912. The dinner was wonderful, beginning with Tattinger Brut Francais Champagne, followed by cream of butternut squash finished with Irish Whiskey and sippets, a salad of baby mixed greens, roasted artichoke with goat cheese, spiced pecans, red onion, asparagus, Peruvian potatoes and lemon honey dressing. For an entrée, Rick chose Roast Lamb Chops with Mint Sauce, accompanied by a glass of Sanctuary Mariah: Red Zinfandel. I chose Filet Mignon with Cream Pearl Onions, accompanied by Louis M. Martin Cabernet Sauvignon. Both meals came with grilled asparagus vinaigrette, Chateau potatoes and fresh breads. Our dessert was a flaming Glacier au four—a decadent combination of sponge cake, French ice cream and toasted meringue. I had coffee, freshly made at the table, with a variety of coffee toppings to choose from. It was a night to remember, and we hope you enjoy it, as well! I will be making one item from the menu to upload tomorrow!

Omaha had the Titanic exhibit come through years ago and we took our children. I was assigned a ticket that said Mr. Emil Brandeis. Hi Carrie!
Let me think about this a bit! I need to get into the kid frame of mind. I’ve done many finger sandwiches and treats, but most of them are more appropriate for a ladies’ luncheon or reception. I know you need something that is filling, but not full of fat and sugar. I will be taking a couple of weeks away from YouTube starting later this week, and I will have a chance to give this some thought. I hope I will be able to come up with something that you can use!
Best wishes,
–B
