I have recently had to redo my menus to show calorie counts on the various dishes we serve. The reason this is done is because there are those customers who want to know what the calorie count is in the meals we serve. People need to know this if they are losing weight, have diabetes or any other medical conditions. I could say more about this, but I am a professional and will keep my peace. Many people struggle to understand the fact that you eat to live not live to eat and they shove their pie holes. lol. but just try to ignore it and go into the resturant and dont look at the menu, just be like " what would you recommend?"

It’s so people know what’s in the food they’re eating. I know it won’t help recovering anorexics like you, but it’s for people struggling to keep their weight down. I’m sorry that this makes it harder for you, but you could try to use it to your advantage too. If you really want to recover, like you said, you should just ignore them. You don’t have to keep starving to look beautiful Good luck.

it really annoys me too! because its like your constantly reminded that this has soo many calories in and usually when you go out for a meal you just want to enjoy it and not think about this aahhh

Well so many people are on diet and counting calorie ask staff member how many calorie are in dishes so in stead of wasting time I guess they just slap the calorie on menus now.

It is so that people can make informed choices about what they eat. From that point on it is up to them what they select from the menu being mindful of how many calories they are going to consume.
